Rob Lundberg's Answering Mormonism Page

"I say to the whole world...Take up the Bible, compare the religion of the Latter-day Saints with it, and see if it stands the test." -- Brigham Young, Journal of Discourses, Volume 16, p. 46 (1873)

"Mormonism is true in every leading doctrine, or it is false as a system altogether."
-- Brigham Young, "Millennial Star," Volume 27, pp. 675-76 (1865)

"But examine everything {carefully} hold fast to that which is good; abstain from every form of evil" (1 Thessalonians 5:21-22)

"I am amazed that you are so quickly deserting Him who called you by the grace of Christ, for a different gospel; which is {really} not another; only there are some who are disturbing you, and want to distort the gospel of Christ. But even though we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to that which we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so I say again now, if any man is preaching to you a gospel contrary to that which you received, let him be accursed (Galatians 1:6-9)

Greetings and welcome to my Answering Mormonism Page. I have created this page with the sole purpose of providing you with the resources you need to understand, stay current, and respond to the non-Christian teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

If you would like to view some of the online resources offered by the North American Mission Board in the area of interfaith evangelism, feel free to click on this link to the NAMB Interfaith Evangelism Resources Page. As you look around on this site, not only will you see resources on other faiths and religions, but you will also see links to resources focused upon the subject of this page - The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (a.k.a. The Mormons).

Also on this page, you will see articles in the left margin articles that I have put together on this subject. The first one will give you the heartbeat of this particular page. The article is simply titled, Why This Page? This essay will give you the reasons for creating a page of this caliber.

In addition to anything that I have put on this page, you will find a wealth of resources for your interaction below. The purpose for these resources is to aide you in your research toward understand this large non-Christian cult and provide you with the answers that will show the biblical Christian worldview superior!

In all fairness, I have included links to the Mormon's academy with the "caveat" warning next to the link. Why? Because I believe in even-handed and honest research; and the Latter Day Saints have changed their approach to scholarship over the last few years. As evangelical Christians, if we expect to challenge this cult, we are going to have to enter the domain of this movement's origins...the LDS Academy. Like it or not, we need to know what they are saying, so this is where we enter the real arena in order to engage this "New Mormon Challenge."

If you know of any other links that might assist this page in being of value to research and study, please feel free to forward them to me. I will be more than happy to look them over and add them if they fit the mission of this page.

Thanks,
Rob Lundberg, M.Div., BA. Cert. Christian Apologetics

APOLOGETICS RESEARCH DOCUMENTS SECTION
This section contains links to Evangelical Christian, Non-Mormon, and Mormon sources. Such links include Early Christian sources as well as the Nag Hammadi and Gnostic Gospels. The Nag Hammadi and Gnostic sources are spurious sources that were written 2 centuries after the compilation of the Christian canon (the Christian Scriptures vis-a-vis, the BIBLE). Despite this fact, the LDS scholars are attempting to use and defend these spurious sources to validate the credibility of the Mormon faith.

These sources are provided as a means of providing a reference for research. As you can see this section is a bit cerebral, but I have added these links in order to provide valuable information for scholars involved in the debate.
